What New York Radio Will Be Doing On 9/11 (10th Anniversary)

Among the offerings from the local news and talk stations: WABC will actually have all of their regular Sunday hosts broadcasting live from Ground Zero (you'd think bringing in Hannity or even Joe Crummey would be a good idea), WCBS and WINS will have special daily segments leading up to commercial-free coverage on the morning of September 11, and the upstart "FM News 101.9" WEMP will be doing what David Hinckley describes as "memories from listeners and reporters for the week starting Sept. 5" plus "reports from the Ground Zero ceremonies on Sept. 11."

Glad to see radio is paying attention--Me? I'll be standing by the FDNY memorial, in Dress Blues, rendering honors, and escorting Family members of the Fallen. Come say hello.

Wow, thanks for all of that info, 1961!

On the TV side, the major broadcast stations carried the ceremony up until 1 PM, when Fox 5 sent viewers to sister station My 9 (which was carrying the same exact feed) so that they could begin airing the Eagles/Rams game; CBS 2 stuck with Ground Zero and joined Steelers/Ravens in progress.
