WHAT NORTHEAST OHIO DJs WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR AGAIN AND MISS THE MOST?

Since I didn't arrive in this state until 1970 most of mine would be from then on: Ones I would love to hear again {and through the magic of airchecks and the internet you can hear again} are:

Phil Gardner
Vernon with a V
Jack Armstrong
Dave "Fig" Newton
"The REAL" Bob James
Billy Bass
Lou "King" Kirby
Jim LaBarbara
Chris "The Mighty" Quinn
"Dancin'" Danny Wright
Bill Randle
Kevin O'neill
and of course, Alan Freed.

I know there are a few I forgot [including ones that post here :p] and if I remember them I'll post them. Anybody want to add to the list?

Since I can't raise the dead (not yet anyway) I'll stick with those that are alive;

Scott Howitt
Luther Heggs
Tim Virgin (now in Chicago)
Broadway Bill Lee (WCBS-FM)
Danny Wright
Jim Shea (Y103-9 Dundee/Chicago)
Kid Leo
BLF Bash
Harry Legg (aka "Scott James", now in NYC) *Sort of on the air, as promo VO for WQMX/Akron

Great to hear Ravenna and Rocco back on the air in Cleveland!

For those with Sirius/XM, Kid Leo DJs on the Underground Garage, which is an all-around great channel.

Norm N. Nite (since I don't have Sirius), Chris Quinn, Joe Mayor, Bob James, Bill Randle, Carl Reese, Danny Wright, Paxton Mills, Jack Armstrong, Kevin O'Neill, Phil Gardner, Phil McLean, Larry Morrow, Betty Korvan, J.R. Nelson, Pat Holliday(CKLW), Joe Finan, Jack Reynolds, Jaybird Drennan, Dennis Day, Bob Collins, Bill Stallins, Suzy Peters, Jeff & Flash, Bill Gordon,
and Johnny Holliday

I forgot about Norm... he is alive!

And, want to add former WZJM and MIX staffer LeeAnn Sommers, now in Denver with the former CBS stations, now owned by Wilks.

How about Russ "The Weird Beard" Knight, Rick Shaw, Doc Nemo, Big Don Allen, Dick Liberator. Oh and how about Fat Daddy from WNOB-FM?

Gary Dee. I was reminded how funny and controversial he could be when WHK had a full-hour tribute to him as part of their 85th anniversary celebration a few years back.

I'm a big fan of Denny Sanders w/ his time on 'MMS and 'MJI. He had a very unique voice.

Agreed about Denny. No one knows more about music and Cleveland radio...especially since he's a native of Boston.

Dancin' Danny is a great example of great talent. Sadly, he is sitting out of work in Seattle for the last 6 months or longer.

Where have you been hiding? Danny has gotten a new two hour syndicated country show, it's just not on any stations in this area.

she sometimes used to refer to me as her bodyguard at some of her remotes/live apps. Not all the time. Funny... when I interned at WNCX in '91 then PD Doug Podell wanted me to "guard" him a Mountain concert... I played linebacker at the time for a semi pro team in Cleveland...must've been the football physique :D
