What shouldn't be overlooked about the 26 Years of KUBE 93

Perhaps the most amazing and impressive thing (amongst many) about KUBE 93's 26 year history is that they've had a grand total of only two morning shows.
I can't think of any other CHR stations in the country where that has taken place. Anchoring your radio station with that kind of low volitility and consistancy of success is a true formula for being a time tested winner.
Much envy indeed!

Not many people realize that. Great point! IMO, KUBE is one of if not the best T-40 in the country. But thats my opinion.

[ And I am a HUGE fan of Keola's show on KISS106.1 ]

KUBE has been rock solid for 26 years. They own teens and have been near top of the market 18-34 for the entire run. Charlie and Ty owned this market for years, followed by T-Man who has been holding down the fort for close to a decade, quite an accomplishment. Nationally there are several CHR stations that have a similar heritage. KISS in LA comes to mind with only two hosts in 25 years: Rick Dees and Ryan Seacrest. KISS in Dallas has had Kidd Kraddick for 20 some years, Dave Ryan at KDWB Minneapolis, Matty at KISS in Boston and McCoy at STAR in Atlanta are all CHR stations with only one or two morning shows over the past 25 years. Those stations, like KUBE, still do very very well. Says something about finding a great morning show and keeping them around. From a sales perspective, agencies love a great morning show and the great ones are few and far between.

What other Seattle call letters have had that little change? KMPS with Ichabod, KPLZ with Kent and Alan come to mind, but that is about it. Most change every few years, some faster than that.
