What show is replacing Oprah at your station when she finishes on May 25th?

To the poster from a while back that said that Oprah is staying on WCVB until September - not true (unless it's at 1:05 a.m. after Kimmel, replacing infomercials). Ellen is coming to both WCVB/5 and WMUR/9 at 4 p.m. 2 weeks from tomorrow, while Regis and Kelly start on WCVB at 9 a.m. 2 weeks from tomorrow as well. No promos on WMUR for R&K, soon to be just K, and no promos on WHDH/7 for its 9 a.m. newscast either.

The domino effect of Oprah leaving will have its share of scheduling changes and additions here in Los Angeles...

First off, as it was mentioned a few times on the National TV board, Dr. Oz is moving from KTTV to KABC, starting September 12th; KABC is still running Oprah reruns, up until Dr. Oz moves over. KTTV, in the meanwhile, will have Anderson Cooper's new talk show at 4pm, followed by a new hour-long 5pm newscast. Dr. Oz currently double-runs on KTTV at 1pm (week-old eps) and 5pm (first-run).

Second thing, because the Oprah contractual stipulations will no longer be in effect (none of the other shows produced by her company can't compete against her show), KCBS will flip-flop the timeslots of Dr. Phil and Judge Judy, with Phil going from 4 to 3pm, and the double-runs of Judy going from 3pm to 4, leading into the 5pm news. Again, this takes place on September 12th. Ironically, WCBS runs these two shows in the same order, in the same local timeslots.

I'm not 100 percent certain about this, but I think I saw a small blurb somewhere on the 'net that The Nate Berkus Show might be moving a hour later on KNBC, from 2pm to 3pm. NBC is axing the Real Housewives reruns this fall, but I'm not sure what KNBC will replace that open hour with.

Following up on my earlier comment on Pittsburgh's WTAE getting Dr. Oz, the station is plugging Dr. Oz big time, with promotional crawls during prime-time ABC programming and regular showings of Dr. Oz winning some sort of award ... presumably for shows he did that were carried on WPXI.

As I kind of expected, WGAL (NBC for the Harrisburg/York/Lancaster/Lebanon market), per a promo I saw, will be moving Dr. Oz into Oprah's old 4pm spot come September (I don't remember the date tho). He currently airs at 11am, so I'm not sure what they'll do to plug that hole. I can't help wondering if another Oprah spinoff (Nate Berkus, currently on WHTM) will jump channels..

And that's exactly what's happening. "Anderson", Anderson Cooper's new show, gets the 10AM slot on WHTM formerly occupied by Nate Berkus. Nate, as I thought, will move to WGAL's 11am spot. It makes sense....WGAL has the other Harpo shows (Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz, and Dr. Phil).

That "some sort of award" was an Emmy for Best Talk Show Host.

By the way...I asked on KTVF's Facebook page about whether or not they'll move Ellen to 3:00; they don't even know themselves. I guess they are keeping hush-hush about their post-Oprah afternoon lineup (have yet to contact KTVA (Anchorage) about who'll occupy 4:00).

On our local CBS station, KFVS, will carry America Now in that timeslot. Don't know what WBBJ will put in it's spot. They also aired Oprah.

KYTV (NBC) in Springfield, MO, which aired Oprah at 4PM, will move Ellen from 11AM to 4PM, with Anderson Cooper taking the 11AM slot. KYTV's low-power sister CW affiliate has aired a rebroadcast of Oprah weeknights at 9PM; that will get replaced by a KYTV-produced 30-minute newscast at 9, and I guess a 30-minute syndicated show at 9:30 (don't know what that will be yet).

KING 5 Seattle's new sked for 2011-2012

2PM: Dr. Phil (presumed)
3PM: Anderson Cooper (formerly Ellen Degeneres show in this slot)
4PM: Ellen (replacing Oprah)

In Terre Haute, Indiana, Oprah's 4pm replacement(s) on WTWO will be "30 Rock" and "How I Met Your Mother".

Here's where it gets confusing.

Originally, it was to be "Dr. Phil" replacing Oprah at 4pm (Phil had been on WTHI-TV, which decided not to renew the contract). However, after the announcement that WFXW-TV would be dropping Fox and become an ABC affiliate, plans changed. WTWO's 5pm newscast, which Phil was to be the lead-in for, is being reformatted and moved over to the renamed WAWV-TV (with "Judge Judy" as a lead-in).

"Dr. Phil" will instead move up an hour from it's original intended 4pm slot on WTWO to 5pm (which is the same time period that WTHI-TV had carried it), as a lead-in to the WTWO 6pm news. WTWO will also pick up "Divorce Court", "The People's Court", and the aforementioned "How I Met Your Mother" from WFXW/WAWV, as the new ABC schedule doesn't have room for them.

(It should be noted that WTWO has a shared services agreement with WFXW, hence the sharing/swapping of programming.)

Well...Ellen will be staying put on KTVF at 5:00; Anderson Cooper will occupy the 3:00 slot.

Had they put Ellen at 3:00, she would've been crushed by Judge Judy on K13XD, so KTVF wasn't taking that risk.

Out here in Honolulu, KHON has moved "Dr. Phil" to 4PM and placed "The People's Court" at former's 3PM slot. And he's going to be up against "Dr. Oz" on KITV, which is moving from the 10AM slot to 4PM, trading places with "Judge Judy."
