WHAT SHOWS WOULD YOU RENEW or CANCEL FOR THE 2007-2008 SEASON?

CANCEL:
American Idle [sic] (Fox)
Lost (ABC)
Survivor (CBS)
TheirNetwork TV (who else?)
Dr Phil (Synd.) *bleechhh...*
that stupid "Grease" audition-contest thing on NBC
Jerry Springer (originates at NBC, but largely syndicated)
Maury (syndicated??)
Fear Factor (syndicated??)
Cheaters (??)
Wife-Swap (ABC)
anything involving ladies from England or any other nation coming in and playing "nanny" for someone's screaming, bratty, out of control kids (ABC/FOX/CBS/others?)
Dance Revolution (CBS)
anything even remotely related to the "Slumber Party Girls"--who watches that stuff anyways? (CBS)
Who Wants To be A Millionaire (ABC) (seems to have outlived its novelty and is just scraping bottom, I think...)
Dateline NBC (NBC)
America's Funniest Home Videos (ABC) (another one that I think has outlived its usefulness.)

DON'T CANCEL:
Scrubs (NBC)
House (Fox)
Smarter than a Fifth Grader (Fox)
Deal or No Deal (NBC)
Simpsons (Fox)
Family Guy (Fox)
South Park (CC/Synd.)
Sabado Gigante (Univision)
Incognito (Univision)

Andy Barker (NBC)
and saying of Barkers--
Price Is Right (CBS) (don't leave us Bob!!)

RERUNS THAT I THINK, FOR SOME REASON OR OTHER, SHOULD KEEP BEING RE-RAN FOR AT LEAST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER:
Frasier
Matlock
As Time Goes By (PBS/BBC)
Wishbone (PBS)
Mr. Rogers (PBS)

"Access Hollywood" and "Extra" should go; they're the real reasons why "Entertainment Tonight" has dumbed down lately.

And Dateline NBC? The reason why it has been successful after 15 years can be summed up in four words: "To Catch A Predator".

But I'm asking y'all for the third time in this thread...WHAT ABOUT "SOUL TRAIN"?!?!?!

I agree with most of that

ABC hasn't run it in years. If you mean the syndicated version, not likely. Ratings are solid and climbing year-over-year.

It hasn't outlived usefulness to ABC. Still decent ratings, and serves as a utility player for a network in desperate need of some...I mean, when According to Jim and George Lopez are all you have left on the comedy side, you need anything that generates some eyeballs.

Unfortunately as far the show The War At Home goes I have the feeling that it will become the new Yes Dear...it just won't DIE!

I agree with everybody that According To Jim should be cancelled.

Why ABC thinks it's still funny when it wore out it's welcome in I don't know 2001.

But have faith, ABC knows that it has a load of crap it needs to get rid of if it

want to prove it's not a hat trick network (Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition=No Lost because I think it has sucked since
it came back)

ABC World News is the top ranked newscast and they have ESPN so that's the

good spots. Now here is what I think will be or should be gone by 2007-08

ABC: George Lopez (That's still on), In Case of Emergency, How about all of their

sitcoms, America's Funniest Home Videos (Worn out it's welcome), Men In Trees

(Actually it will be canned sooner than later), 6 Degrees (diddo), What About
Brian? (What About Monday Night Raw and CSI Miami ::)

and, I hate to say it, but Boston Legal must go.

NBC: Law & Order is a triple cancer that must be stopped :D Other than that, they

need to be patient with what they have becuase nothing will change for at least

until the summer of 2008 when they have The Olympics, and February 2009 when

they will broadcast their first Super Bowl in 11 years.

FOX: American Dad (Don't get It), The Winner, URRRH, The Loser, ;D The War At Home, King of The Hill, The Wedding Bells, The Loop, The Lot

CBS: The Class, The New Adventures of Old Christine (IT'S NOT FUNNY ???), How I Met

Your Mother (Don't Get It), Ghost Whisperer That's IT!

I'm not even going to try the CW or My Network because their small compared to

the others. And their way more into demos than the other four. So what you reap

is what you so I say ;D
Umm...just because YOU don't find a show funny or "don't get" a show, does not mean it should be canceled. Talk about ridiculous. You know what regular people do who do not like a show or it does not cater to them?

You ready?

They DON'T WATCH THEM!!!

That has worked for me since...well, I started watching TV. ::)

Nah, Entertainment Tonight and Inside Edition have been the #1 and #2 syndicated magazine shows for years. Sure, ET has dumbed down lately, but at least they've maintained their quality while keeping up with the changing times.

But "Access Hollywood" and "Extra"? THEY should go!!!

"60 Minutes"?? "The Simpsons"?? "Desperate Housewives"? "Grey's Anatomy"?? What are you thinking; those shows are nothing but ratings juggernauts!!!

Since i don't watch much television these days, if most of the current programs
went off the air, i would not miss them, the only ones i would keep is the prime
time game shows like "Deal Or No Neal", "1 vs. 100", and "Identity" on NBC,
"Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" on Fox, and the daytime game shows
like "The Price Is Right" on CBS(even though i'm concerned with Bob Barker's
departure, can the show survive without him depending on who the new host
will be, which should be Todd Newton) and the sydnicated fare like "Who
Wants To Be A Millionaire?", "Family Fued", "Wheel Of Fortune" , "Jeopardy!",
and the newest creation from Merv Griffin "Let's Play Crosswords", which as of
today(4-19-2007) will air in 65% of the country when it debuts this fall.
