What song(s) make(s) you change the radio every time it is played?

Here's a topic I was thinking about the other day driving to work. What song makes you flip the station or turn off the radio every time it is played? My top three picks:
1. HOOBASTANK-"The Reason"
2. MELLENCAMP-"Jack and Diane"...also "Small Town"
3. Any slow tune by Journey("Faithfully" or "Open Arms")

Oh, so many...

The top five for me that seem to never, ever have been given a rest:

Freebird-Skynard
The Joker-Steve Miller
American Pie-Don McLean
China Grove-Doobies
Takin' Care of Business-BTO

I don't have to hear any of those songs again as long as I live.

Flo Rida - Low
Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance
Huey Lewis & The News - Hip To Be Square
Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun
Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight

Just to name a few

Hmmm,

-Madonna (all)
-Celine Dion (all past prest and future songs)....gag
-Any Bluegrass that includes vocals
-Most of today's "Top 40, CHR, R&B, Rap" or whatever you want to call it
including any song that mentions rumps, pumps, humps or bumps.
-All Pink Floyd (too depressing)

Actually, it would be good if stations that play any form of older material would dig deeper into each artist's library. As an example, BTO did a lot of other songs other then Taken Care of Business...the Doobies have other songs...not just China Grove and Elton John did more than "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" But then again, it would not be "safe programming" to play those deeper cuts would it?

Anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Seriously, for as much as they get played on The Fox and WEBN, you'd think they are from Cincinnati.

"Psycho" by Puddle Of Mudd

I hate that song. And it's a power...and it tests.

Some more...
Men At Work "Down Under"(They've played that one into "Overkill" LOL)..."Who Can It Be Now" I am sick of as well.
Sheryl Crow's overplayed stuff("All I Wanna Do", "First Cut Is the Deepest")...Also her terrible remake of "Sweet Child O' Mine"
REO Speedwagon's "I Can't Fight This Feeling" as well as "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It On the Run"...Mix 107.7 has run these tunes into the ground, especially the latter two.
Edwin McCain's "I Could Not Ask For More"
Lenny Kravitz "Fly Away" and "American Woman". It seems that most stations forgot about "Are You Gonna Go My Way" and "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over", his song to his ex-wife Lisa Bonet.
ANYTHING Gavin DeGraw("Chariot", "I Don't Want To Be", and "Follow Through")
Most of Avril Lavigne(ESPECIALLY "My Happy Ending"...It'll be "MY happy ending" when I never hear that annoying song again.)
Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'"
Also, YES, commercials do count...There is music in them, and some of them are terribly annoying. Thanks to whomever said what in the hell they were saying on the Argosy commercial...I never could understand what they were saying. That TV commercial is getting old. Someone over at Channel 7 must be getting free admission to the place...Sometimes they play that damn commercial twice in one break. ::)

Any rap, hip-hop, or other 'music' classified as 'urban'

Ditto on Madonna. Why won't this woman just go away?

Whitney Houston before or after Bobby Brown. Just sing the damn song and hold the vocal gymnastics.

There's a lot more but happily they aren't on any playlists that I know of.

Absolutely...American Pie! Hate to say it, but Hotel California can have that effect on me too. Just another classic that has been completely driven into the ground. Before He Cheats is getting there for me already. Anything by Bette Midler. Man, this could go on forever.

On the flip side, until I get tired of it, I dig the Free Credit Report commercial "song:" "F-R-E-E that spells free, credit report dot com baybee!"

my god, I live in South Dakota and one of the two local CHR's I can get plays Psycho and has Fake It by Seether in power rotation.

That same CHR is doing some sort of "old school" weekend and they just played Flashlight by Parliament followed by Wheel in the Sky by Journey and Me so Horny by 2 Live Crew.

anything with George Clinton [who was in Parliament] in it makes me gag :-[ and so does any blatant classic rock stuff from the 70s and 80s being played on a CHR [AC/DC, Kansas, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, etc.]. Dont get me wrong I like classic rock but not on a friggin' CHR, flashback weekend or not

Does "It's fun not far...ARGOSY" count?

Oh that’s a comical reprise, Major... AGREED... It’s one of the worst “sung commercials” I have ever heard... WHO wrote a check for that assasination upon the AM band? Don’t you just love-it when they “pot up” the tacky instrumental interlude after inviting folks to come squander their potential mortgage payment away?

Indiana is much TOO CLOSE to Cincy!

BTW... I like "China Grove" :) ...Great top-of-the-hour "kick-off"!

Celine Dion, and Sheryl Crow make my ears bleed! Now what the hell is the whole ARGOSY song? I know they say "Fun not far" but what in the hell is the word after FAR??? Its driving me insane!

...And everybody thought friggin' Mix 107.7 was stuck in 1985!!!!! ;D

I think it's pretty funny that each person who HATES the Argosy Casino commercial remembers most of the words and that it's a commercial for Argosy...sounds like money well spent on Argosy's part! ;D

And ditto on turning off American Pie. That song is only good when I'm drunk in a dive bar and can't move..
