What station do you guys think has the best morning show in DFW

Not sure if this has been asked, but in the mornings, what do you all listen to driving to work? I usually either listen to the Musers on the Ticket or Bo and Jim on KZPS.

As of now I will have to say... hands down it has to be WBAP with Hal Jay, Brian Estridge, Brad Barton, Carla Marion and Steve Lamb. In the past, I loved the Jagger morning show on The Edge and Live 105.3 (still miss Mondo and Dean). Also, loved Russ Martin doing mornings but feel that afternoons are a better fit for RMS. I used to listen to Jody Dean on KLUV but it is not the same without Bernie and Kathy.

I'm a Musers guy myself. When they go to break around 6:46, it's the perfect time to tune into Bo and Jim and listen to the news of the weird, or whatever the name is. Otherwise I fight through the commercials and leave it on The Little One.

I'm a news nut...flip back and forth between KERA and KRLD mostly. Occasionally flip to the finance guy on 1190, but the audio quality is usually too poor to listen to.

Morning radio in our house has been set on WBAP since sometime in the mid 60's and will stay there until Cumulus runs Hal Jay off.

On the drive in to work it's a punch fest usually with the Ticket, KRLD and after 7:30 the stock pickers on 1190 (agreed, their audio is weird....get those boys a Comrex Access). I used to be a big BAP listener but it's not the same post Siegal, Sam and Dan Potter. The length of the Ticket spot breaks (and the fact that the sports news at 10-30-50 promise is NEVER kept) make them a tough listen a lot of mornings.

It's not the spot breaks on the Ticket, it's mismanagement of the back end.

But if you expect tickers promptly at :10, :30 and :50 and are serious about the criticism, you're a dupe. The only on-time ticker the whole day is the Dick Hicks dance mix.

The best morning is the musers by a wide margin. They have the best chemistry, best mix of important news, sports, and bits of any station. Besides no one else has The Great Gordo.

With the exception of the program on 1190, you've perfectly described my morning listening pattern. Back when KKDA-AM (Soul 73) was still around (RIP), Willis Johnson was also part of my AM drive presets. WBAP has evolved to being only an occasional listen but with my Ticket TSL, Cumulus still gets me.

Well, we know the B in BenB stands for Butt because that is what he's fixated on, looking at his last 10 posts.

That explains a lot...
