What syndicated reruns are leaving local syndication in 2013?

I heard that "The New Adventures of Old Christine" is leaving syndication. Interesting that it even was in syndication with less than 90 episodes made.

I'm also wondering about Seinfeld, Funniest Home Videos, Frasier, etc. Wonder if those are going too. (I'm sure Seinfeld isn't since it's one of the most popular sitcoms ever...)

"Funniest Home Videos" is leaving. "Seinfeld" and "Fraiser" will still be around.

Others waving bye-bye - "According to Jim", "Scrubs", "Law & Order: CI"

"King of the Hill" might be leaving syndication since it's not listed for our Fox affiliate's Fall schedule (unless it is moving to our CW or MyNet affiliate).

Seemed that the AFV reruns didn't show episodes later than around 2008. Maybe they were in syndication only for viewers to see the first few seasons of Bergeron.

What about Cosby Show and Roseanne? I only see them on small affiliates nowadays.

In the Quad Cities, WQAD 8.3 used to air 'The Cosby Show' back to back on weekdays 'til last fall. Then earlier this year, it started airing Saturday mornings at 5am on 8.1.

As for 'Roseanne', WQAD 8.3 still airs two eps a day, or check local listings...

My local MyNetwork affiliate has been running commercials all summer for AFV moving from 6 pm to 3 pm this fall. So maybe it's not leaving? It is still in production, after all.

King of the Hill will still be in local broadcast this fall. It is already announced in Cleveland Ohio that it will be moving from the FOX affiliate WJW at 4am Monday-Friday to the CW affiliate WBNX at 5:30am Monday-Friday.

Good to know. I guess "King of the Hill" will move to WYCW or WMYA. Would be a better fit at WYCW with their repeats of "Family Guy", "American Dad", "Futurama", and "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (thought they would have gotten "The Cleveland Show" rights).

Speaking of King of the Hill, the Titan TV listings for WMYT have it airing the next two Sundays at noon and 12:30 pm. But all other websites have the King of Queens airing then on WMYT. I think that's what has aired on there recently. And all sites including Titan still list King of the Hill on WCCB weekdays at 11:30 pm. Hmmmm...

I would have to think the Titan listing is wrong.

Doubtful. Carsey-Werner will be releasing new HD versions of all their shows this fall. Besides, they like to get as much mileage out of their shows as possible (to the point of beating them into the ground).

How can they extract HD versions of their shows? Except for everything past Cybil which were all filmed, all their shows were on videotape. I read the article describing it, but the only way they're going to get 16:9 content is through extreme panning and scanning of the video. Roseanne just feels like a show that doesn't meet the widescreen HD aesthetic at all.

Syndicated repeats of 'Criminal Intent' will move to My Network TV this fall, and to my surprise, 'SVU' repeats will air five times a week and/or twice a day!

Also, I wonder if 'Excused' has been "excused" (LOL)?

Oh, I agree with you; the new transfers are sure to be disastrous. I should have put "HD" in quotation marks in my post.

Roseanne has that "videotape" quality when viewing old episodes. No way will it go "stretch o vision 16/9".

I'm sure it'll be cropped, which isn't much better than stretchovision.

I was wondering if Criminal Minds, CSI Miami and The Closer will be leaving local syndication, there are on during late Saturday night on WBBJ.

Haven't heard much about what leaving around here.

I doubt that CSI Miami will be leaving as they entered last fall along with Criminal Minds as CBS (who owns the syndicated rights to those shows) will not be adding any new weekend dramas this fall. The Closer may stay or may go but most likely I think it will stay. I believe that FOX will be adding both Glee and White Collar, so one of the FOX weekend syndicated shows will be leaving.
