What the heck is wrong with WBOM 1470 - The Talk of Connecticut?

What the heck is wrong with WBOM 1470? Today was the first time in a while that I had a chance to give the AM band a spin in the car. I came across WBOM 1470 aka The Talk of Connecticut and they were having catastrophic technical problems. Problems that were not present on their 102.5 translator or their simulcast partners WDRC 103.3/1360 and WSNG/610. The program feed on 1470 was sort of skipping off and on. That's how I would describe it anyway.

Will FPR fix this problem before they flip to the new format? Someone needs to call FPR's Engineering Department about this. 860-243-1115. I would do it myself, but I haven't listened to The Talk of Connecticut since Rob Ray left the station and even then I was listening on 102.5 FM and not on 1470.
 
Heard something off with WDRC-FM 102.9 on Sunday evening and Fisch. He kept plugging their weekend bridal expo in future tense...as if it were Friday evening. Voice tracked, perhaps?

you spent more time logging onto this board and typing this message then am email or voicemail to them would've taken.

for someone who doesnt care about stations, you sure talk about them and or listen to them alot

It sounds like whatever is feeding 102.5 is borked up. Being in different locations, 1470 and 102.5 are fed in different ways. 102.5 is on the WHPX TV/WRCH 100.5 tower and I'd wager it's fed by IP, liek a Barix or comrex box... rent on that tower hasta be expensive, and theyd get charged more for another antenna,, but you can fit a modem and IP device in a rack.

I don't understand. Why are you not able to simply call that number yourself, explain you were listening to their signal and you heard XYZ, and thought their engineering staff might want to know so they could look into it? You don't need to diagnose the problem for them or explain it in technical terms, a non-techy explanation is enough. If you're so inclined, grab a recording of the audio that demonstrates the problem using your cell phone and offer to send the clip to them.

What is on the towers on Blue Hills Ave.
 
Lot's of technical issues going on. I was driving home to Bridgeport from visiting the casino and 107.7 was off the air for hours last weekend.

Just happenstance.. owned by the same people. but operating from different facilities.
