What Was the Point of Anchor Woman?

Why would a real news station allow a bikini model, Lauren Jones to be a news anchor?
Why would President and General Manager Phil Hurley of KYTX Channel 19 in Tyler Texas allow her on the air?
Now KYTX is the laughing stock of news stations in America.
Who can take them serious anymore?
Their journalists will probably never get hired at the big markets now.
If I was a news director I would never hire any of the reporters or anchors at that station.
None of them have any credibility in journalism now.
They are a joke.

Lauren Jones just used the gig to get ahead in her celebrity career.
While stepping on the news journalists that work at the station it did nothing to enhance their careers.
Why wouldn't the owner of KYTX fire Phil Hurley after the big disaster aka Lauren Jones set the station back 50 years?

Was the station given cash by Fox to air this disaster?
Why wouldn't the news director and all the reporters and anchors at the station quit the station in protest of this disaster allowing to be aired on their station?
Just what was the point of of Anchor Woman? ???
