What are the call letters of the four Pittsburgh radio stations (I guess on the AM band) which were up for a FCC license auction and didn't have any bidders?
I'm intrigued tooWhat are the call letters of the four Pittsburgh radio stations (I guess on the AM band) which were up for a FCC license auction and didn't have any bidders?
It was for St Louis area stations which were revoked due to licensee shenanigans. What are the call letters of the four Pittsburgh radio stations (I guess on the AM band) which were up for a FCC license auction and didn't have any bidders?
Hey, I'm the one who linked Lance's site! How many bonus points does that earn? A free calendar? The auction was for construction permits for new signals, so none of the "stations" have calls yet. There were no frequencies in Pittsburgh (or indeed anywhere in Pennsylvania) in this auction. Maybe you're thinking of the four AMs in the St. Louis area that were deleted and had their facilities available in the auction?

This was from rbr.com...........
For some reason on my Google search (which I can't replicate) it came up as Pittsburgh....St. Louis is Nielsen market 24.
Remember that radio MSAs are not the same as the Government / Census MSAs.For some reason on my Google search (which I can't replicate) it came up as Pittsburgh....
The more things change in some respects, the more they stay the same.I read some online articles about the stations. Very interesting past history on those properties including being a megaphone for a super right-wing racist misognynistic talk show host who was convicted of bank fraud who was actually, technically, disallowed by the FCC to own a radio station.
