Speaking of nonsense by America, what are "alligator lizards in the air" as mentioned in "Ventura Highway?"
That would be INNA GADDA DAVIDA. Have you no conscience?!radiobum said:In A Gadda Vida Baby !

...More nonsense!
But it's a catchy tune, so who cares?
Do the music video for it in your head, it's better that way anyhow.
Hmmm, interesting. They can be found in grasslands, in forests, and near streams. But no mention of "in the air."firepoint525 said:Alligator lizards.unitron said:I'm going to go way out on a limb here and guess...EZway2go said:Speaking of nonsense by America, what are "alligator lizards in the air" as mentioned in "Ventura Highway?"CTListener said:Or America's "Tin Man": "Cause never was the reason for the evening, or the topic of Sir Galahad." Similar endless discussion over The Beatles' I am the Walrus, on the fading background vocal chants of "Everybody (smokes pot?) (got her?)".CTListener said:No, it sounds like he sings "luck' throughout. Now. the extended fade of the Spinners' "One of a Kind (Love Affair)" is another story. Near the beginning of the fade, the lyrics go "One of kind love affair / Makes you wanna love her / Makes you want to ---- her, yeah!" The word that could be the f-bomb, though, could also be "hurt," "hunt," or several other, illogical, possibilities; it wasn't enunciated clearly at all. The line doesn't appear in any lyrics I've been able to find, so it was likely a recording-session ad lib. Can anyone say for sure what was being sung?stevations said:Does anyone else hear a different word when McCartney sings With a Little Luck? And neither Paul nor Ringo will talk...CTListener said:And, sadly, both men who sang on those records are no longer with us to clear up the mystery: John Lennon and Phillippe Wynne (sp?)jfrancispastirchak said:Similar endless discussion over The Beatles' I am the Walrus, on the fading background vocal chants of "Everybody (smokes pot?)
