What would be the best option in the sale / format change of a CCM station?

If you are talking about REAL CCM in Baton Rouge, that would be a very good development. Too long - the anti-CCM forces of Jimmy Swaggart have had a monopoly on Baton Rouge. Something not filtered through their personal musical bias would be wonderful, especially since the city has experienced tremendous growth after Katrina. Finally, the young people in Baton Rouge have Christian radio to minister to them - WONDERFUL! No more DX'ing or settling for secular.

?? 92.7 the former wqck has been ccm since 1983. in the 80s at night it was actually chr. its only really bad time was from 97-04 when a local megachurch owned it. and actually while they owned it for a time in 02 it was chr at night also.
as for brother swaggert. he is not anti ccm. he is anti christian rock/rap. but just to set the record straight i called them one day. i asked them if i came to church there with my stryper shirt on and my long hair flying would they mind. they said no..i also asked do you think i will go to hell for listning to ccm or christian rock. they said no. but they would prefer i didnt listen to the harder stuff but they wouldnt try to stop me from it. that it wasnt there job to tell anyone what to do. and their station form the 80s-early 90s wlox 1550 am actually played some ccm. even stryper honestly (actual song). this year i have heard a really hard blues version of gospel ship on there complete with a looonnnggg guitar solo. most of the kids at his bible college listen to christian rock also. in 10 years the only thing i have heard them say was about POD. and that was because of their refrence to JAH. not because of the music itself.

92.7 The Bridge has a far better playlist than K-Love for my taste. And again, I would rather have something local. It's not K-Love's FORMAT that concerns me, it's the lack of local operation. I hated it when Clear Channel did it to WFMF for that matter. Local content is very important to Christian radio, and I'm tired of EMF doing so much non-local programming at the expense of stations like KOKF that used to be local.

Apart from the ID and underwriting announcements, is there any local content on KOKF or any other EMF satellite-delivered station in their network?

No.

there is local content on wbkl 92.7 baton rouge. local psa's. and at least one local ministry wih a 2 minute daily feature.

i dont understand the hatred for klove. i really dont. it made our local station better. not worse!

You asked a question and it was answered - no hatred involved at all. Klove doesn't do local weather, local traffic or lots of local events. They do a community calendar and some concert promotions. Their onair staff doesn't show up at local events.
