"What would each and everyone of you like to hear on your radio"?

Very interesting points. If WIOD has such a high cume, why is it that they can't sell any spots weekday evenings? If I hear the PSA of the teenage boy and his father telling him not to do underage drinking again I think I'm going to start drinking! :-\

Radio listening is much lower 7 PM to Midnight than the daytime hours... averaging about a third of the 6 AM to 7 PM levels. WIOD's 25-54 (we are now addressing sales, and that is where 25-54 is the broadly relevant number) cume number is under 20,000 persons and the average listenership is around 500 persons.

Evenings are a tough sell. A lot of what you hear is bonus spotting, or very low rate rotator/BTA/ROS spots. Talk stations with syndicated shows have a bigger problem since they have to fill the breaks, even if they sell nothing. Local music stations just play more songs... and TV stations put in PA spots for twisty pillows and shelf organizers.
