What's going on with the WSB-TV Weather Department?

Something unusual is happening with the WSB-TV weather department this week.

Karen Minton, normally doing mornings, is doing evenings this week (5, 6, and 11), and Brad Nitz is doing mornings. Glenn and David are both off this week. I was watching a couple of nights this week.

Why isn't Brad doing evenings? Since he is the weekend guy, shouldn't be his job to fill in for Glenn (and now David, since he has the 5 PM gig)?

Why are both Glenn and David off at the same time? Did something come up?
 
There is nothing sinister going on. This is the first time in 18 years that both David and Glenn could be off at the same time.
