What's the station on 96.7 in the South Bay?

I was in Downtown San Jose last week (Near 1st Street and Hedding Street) listening to KOIT in my car and had interference. So I decided to scan around the dial to see what station is interferring..... I came across a station on 96.7 that is playing Soft Spanish A/C. Anyone know what station is that? I tried to tune to 96.7 in my home (On the boarder of W. San Jose and Cupertino), but I can't get that station.....

Anyone has any idea?

No idea, but on a semi-related note has anyone heard mention of another South Bay station flipping to Spanish after Jan 1? It doesn't seem to make sense but I have heard this a from a few different places recently.

Modesto?

I believe the station in question is KMRQ/96.7 Modesto, which, according to posts on the Central California board, may have already changed from rock to a Spanish-language format.

I don't believe so. I think that change comes in January. And according to Mediabase for KMRQ no Spanish titles are in the mix yet.

Well, KMRQ would be about the only station on 96.7 with even a remote shot at hitting San Jose with its regular signal.

If it's not KMRQ, maybe there was some tropo-ducting?
