What's the status of sports talk in Salisbury?

WGOP-540 Pocomoke City recently flipped from "Timeless Favorites" to One-on-One Sports (after which I took it off my presets [yes I'm a (53 and 1/2 year) old fogy]).

Was there a sports talk format in Salisbury/LSD* that was recently blown up? Was WGOP's action an act to fill the void?

Salisbury's WTGM 960 dropped sports in 2012 to carry iHearts national all-comedy format (the sports moved to sister WJDY 1470). When iHeart dropped most of the national network in summer 2014 WTGM brought the sports back and 1470 went to Bloomberg business talk.

Not sure why 540 dropped oldies for sports, and One-On-One sports at that (didn't even know that network was still around!).

Not sure why 540 dropped oldies for sports,

http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/bal/schedule/affiliates.jsp lists WGOP AM and FM and WBEY Crisfeld as first year O's affils. There are no affils licensed to Salisbury or Fruitland. Did SBY have an O's affil last year (WTGM)? Could WGOP-AM have flipped as a step towards filling *that* void? How has this affected WGOP-FM and WBEY's formats? And do the Shorebirds have a broadcast deal this year?
