When Did Art Schlichter Become an Ex WTVN Football Analyst?

Art Schlichter, who served a number of years in prison on fraud and forgery charges connected to gambling, is being investigated by local and federal authorities in an alleged sports ticket scam. WTVN refers to him as a "former analyst" for the station. I know he was involved in coverage for the 2010 season. When did he earn the title former analyst?
 
John Corby described today that Art was let go between the Michigan and Sugar Bowl game after the PD was e-mailed a letter from a listener who said that Art has swindled him out of cash for last year's Super Bowl game...

Thanks. They podcast the first 18 mins of show. I wasn't sure if they addressed it. Corby did a good job.
