When will main line start putting there footprint on louisville radio i wonder?

They took over few weeks ago and nothing is different. Just the top of the hour id hmmmm.

I guess they are doing research and focus groups for now.

Wonder if many changes are in store for 99.7,101.3,105.1,B96,102.3 hmmmm

Time will tell

Mainline will keep WDJX, B96 and MJM in their current direction. If anything is going to happen, look for Max and LRS to be the ones in question.

The MAX isn't going anywhere... the thing bills more money than you can imagine!

The hot ac format seems to be a format that bills well. I think that mix 103.9 was a bettre hot ac station when they were here and i loved she 93.1 they were better hot ac's but i do like the max i wish though they would drop the 80s they play. How many times have we heard soft cell???Or more obscure like wishing by flock of seagulls but oh my god forget it it does not test well lol

Re: When will main line start putting there footprint on louisville radio i wond

Can't wait until they finally are streaming or when I take my vacation in KY to find out how different it is! Someone got back to me that streaming is hopefully coming soon.

Same in Dayton. Absolutely no changes to the former Radio One stations. Gangsta rap on one, watered down CHR on another, Urban A/C on another and sports with three day old traffic reports on the AM.

I am certain mainline will do something to show they are here. I can't imagine new owners taking over something and business as usual. It would be like buying a house and never doing anything to it? hmm I guess they are doing there research and focus groups and will proceed.

Mainline will invest in market research, something that hasnt been done in Dayton or Louisville for quite sometime.

Look for Mainline to keep WGTZ, WDHT, WROU the same in Dayton. The iffy ones are WKSW and the WING.

As for Louisville, Mainline will keep the main line (no pun intended) with WGZB, WDJX, WMJM with MAX and LRS up in question.

Dude, the only Mainline property that isn't making money is WLRS.. WXMA is OK! Get a grip!

WXMA is doing okay, but I keep hearing that "they wont get rid of Max because George Lyndsay is the Operations Manager". When did Mainline say they are going to keep a station on the air thats bottom feeding just about every demo because their ops manager is doing mornings?

Re: When will main line start putting there footprint on louisville radio i wond

Mainline is making their first move in Dayton with some major changes (See Cincy forum). My guess is Louisville will be next. Hmm, stay tuned!

Research says your right. I was sold that they would keep WGTZ just the way it was, then I got a chance to peak at the research study completed in August and September for Dayton and I was wayyyy off on peoples perceptions of radio in Dayton.

Look for Mainline to make 2 major changes in Dayton and possibly minor or no changes on the others.

Also look for Clear Channel to be the biggest loser in all this. Their Dayton stations are not as strong as one would think, but when your looking for AC music and the only one to go to plays more slow music from the 70's than an AC station should...then you begin to wonder.

They are currently completing the research study for Louisville and from what I understand, information will be arriving sometime in December to the corporate office.

Mainline just flipped Z-93 to a Jack takeoff that they are calling, "The Fly."

I guess when lightning hits and they go off the air, their Fly will be down.

The Fly? Wasn't that the name of a Maurice Day and the Time hit?

LOL. Maybe I don't know. It's supposed to relate to airplane flying, with the Wright Brothers being from Dayton, and with Wright-Patterson AFB there, they figure Dayton has a lot to do with flying.

After their big countdown they did their opening promo for the new format and mentioned all of that and then unveiled their new station. We initially thought they said, "The Flight." I think that would have been a cooler name.

"92-9 The Flight" would have been better. Obviously because of Dayton's aviation history. With sister station WING, former talker WAVI, UD's "Flyer radio" (and the team being the Flyers), The Dayton Bombers baseball team it makes sense. Look for some big changes in Louisville!

Re: When will main line start putting there footprint on louisville radio i wond

Ok and that station is in Dayton, OH WHICH IS NOT EVEN STREAMING ANYMORE! How do you peeps listen to these non streaming stations? Do you have a really powerful radio or what? If so, where did you get it cuz I want one. Why is everyone talking about stations that aren't streaming and cannot even get from this area? It doesn't make sense.

Mainline is doing things right:

DJ E Feezy, Sara J, and Ben Davis are all live 7-12! I called The Max last night and I couldn't believe she was there and answered the phone!

The other stations are live while WLRS is either voicetracked or jockless for the majority of the time. Automation is probably a good option as the jocks sound really green, almost like bad college radio. Obviously, a station that Mainline doesn't see in their future. Wonder what they will flip to? Possibly an FM talker?

CC is making some major moves again. Makes me wonder if Louisville will become a rockless market?
