This past fall, someone was saying to expect live and local talent on WYAY-FM True Oldies 106.7 soon? When will it arrive??? Who are some of the names that will be on there? How about more live and local talent on the weekdays. Here is a wishlist of folks that would sound great on WYAY-FM (I don`t know the status of some of these folks currently). 1). Bob Bailey-Did he ever apply to WYAY? 2). Scott Evans-Former P.D. and afternoon man on WNSY-FM Sunny 100. 3). Jumpin` Jack Reynolds- Former Morning man on Sunny 100. 4). John Curren- Former multi-shift guy (last Morning man) on WLKQ-FM Oldies Lake 102. 5). Randy Cook- WHEN HIS WGST-AM contract in the Spring runs out. 6). J.J. Jackson- Former WQXI-AM/FM, WFOX-FM Fox 97 and Cool 105.7 afternoon man. 7). Big John Wetherbee-Former Fox 97, Cool 106.7 afternoon man, PD.

Oh, give me a break.

If by someone you mean you then yes it was sugested on the board. Based on their pathetic ratings I would not expect any further talent hirings. At this rate there might not even be a Sppiff tis time next year.

My dear RTibbs, that was orginally suggested by the guy who used to work at WLKQ and does voice over work for WYAY/Kicks Country- Al Hardee. Wyay True Oldies 106.7 is growing and I look for the new talent to be on the air soon.......

So you just wanted to answer your own question? Could you not have left everybody else out of it?

J.J. Jackson is on mornings in Louisville, Ky at WLUE-FM so you can forget him on True Oldies. I saw him at the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame awards dinner in October. I know where Randy Robins from Lake 102 is cause we are buddies....but lost contact with John Curran after he and I were dropped because of the format change when the station was sold to Greg Davis out of Columbus and Davis Communications. Then Davis "gobbled up" Talking Rocks - WNSY - Sunny 100 and is simulcasting with La Raza 102.3. I did weekend overnights at Lake 102 for a spell.

Thank you!!! Of course I don't recall Al Hardee posting on this board either? I am sure he would come on this board and annunce the hiring of more talent.

The (your) record keeps skipping.

Put a penny on the tone arm (needle) and move on.

GEEZ, Can you believe this post? hmmmmm, More live and local talent? Have you not seen the cuts that other companies are doing and your asking about when more talent will be added? True oldies is on a BUDGET, like most other stations , dont think that will happen anytime soon.. ::)

If the ratings on True Oldies are bad,it serves them right for getting rid of Rhubarb Jones and dropping country. To qoute President-elect Obama,I'am a bitter American.LOL:)
