Where Can You Find Overdub And Parody Versions From WLS And WCFL?

I was telling someone tonight about the WLS version of "LaGrange" by ZZ Top, where Illinois was substituted for Texas. Anyone know where to find it? There's a "Peanuts" video of the Peanuts Gang playing "LaGrange" that appeared recently online, don't know if its new or not. If it is new, it's pretty funny to watch.

Also, anyone have a link to the John Records Landecker and Teenage Radiation parody "Jane (Beat The Machine Dame)"? As I recall, there may have been a threat of a lawsuit on that one for copyright infringement, and all good recordings of it were pulled.

Who and Teenage Radiation? Teenage Radiation was Steve Dahl and Garry Meier's backup band (or whatever musicians backed them up, whether or not they were a real band), not Landecker.

It was about 40 years ago, Keith. I haven't heard any of those since.

Radioman148, it may have been The Legends. I don't think the official version online is the same recording John first recorded. There may have been a cease and desist order in between. John's voice was more prominent, and the backing tracks seemed to be more like Karaoke tracks than the Starship tracks.

You know that the late Jack Hood, of WJR and WGN (and also John's Top 40 alma mater, WTRX) fame, had a cease and desist order for his version of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers". By withdrawing his version, he got a Gold Record for it in return.
