Anyone hear where "Tall Tom Campbell" is now? This guy was at KYA1260 am in SF from 3 68 till 1969! The guy was great, one cool fast talking guy, with a 1968 Corvette, and a huge audience, and the voice of "Matthews Top of the Hill Daly City" Kenny in Concord

The Legendary "Tall Tom Campbell" is alive and well, living in California.
He is currently doing the voice over on the soon to be released trailer for the Disney movie: "Wreckin' Rex" which will be released into theaters on November 2, 2012.

Don't you mean Wreck it Ralph?

Campbell still does radio commercials too, or did when I was last down in LA in any case- in 2011.

"Hi its me Tom Campbell for Cal Stereo".... The voice of Dow Stereo in San Diego. both long gone and forgotten. In the day before Cellphones Tom listed his Home, Car, & Boat numbers in the Los Angeles telephone phone book ;D

He did the same thing when he was jocking in the early and mid 60s at KYA in San Francisco. And he would lend people his Corvette.

Prior to his move to LA and "the Big Time," Tom was the voice of many commercials in the SF Bay Area, including the infamous Matthew's TV and Stereo ("Top of the Hill, Daly City").

Yes the Campbell Corvette! Tom bought thousands of spots that always ran at the top of the hour. Some other stations ran them at the top too? Tom was more than a voice, at least with Cal Stereo? When they ran out of money we were paid in Stereo equipment. Tom even offered me free gear if he could go longer with his special Inland Empire live remote commercials he did every few weeks. I remember the Owner telling me he would kill me if I ever went in the special room filled with killer Records & Cal Stereo stuff. I went in anyway as these were the days before cameras. The owner decided on murdering someone else and lost his Radio Station!
