Which City Needs An Add’l or Revamped Hip Hop Station?

San Francisco. As much as I love 102 jams, I don't get why Audacy does not try Urban for 102.1. Especially with KMEL being one of the only Urban stations with great ratings.

Oh my God, PITTSBURGH! WAMO 107.3 was a real good station until Audacy bought it from Martz. Now it is one of the most boring stations I've ever heard. As big as that city is, that's the only Urban they have.

The market is only 6.4% Black, which will not support another urban station even with big Hispanic and crossover listening.

And the market is nearly 30% Asian, a group that is very unlikely to follow a new Urban station.

A market where an Urban station is #3 in 25-54 and 18-49 and #2 in 18-34 can't support another one?

You'd end up with both stations below #10 and, in most cases, out of the agency buy depth.
