Which sponsors dropped Rush? I heard 'a couple' did from the latest mess.

Not quoted accurately. More like the choice is yours whether or not to patronize them.

Either way, I believe a better response would have been, "These sponsors are wonderful people and adept entrepreneurs. I understand their need to watch the bottom line. Unfortunately the controversy over my remarks has put them in a position where they had no choice but to suspend their schedules for now. My apology is sincerely ... I hope they accept it as such and will be back on the program soon."

That's how a reasonable and mature adult would have handled it. Rush, on the other hand, is like a petulant child, which is why he took the attitude he did toward the sponsors.

It is also the reason why his apology was about blaming "the liberals" for the words he used. He sank "to their level". LOL

Was he also sinking to their level when suggesting that Ms. Fluke record herself having sex, to post it online for fat old men like Rush to get off on?

From an article in the "news" section:

"Here is the list of Limbaugh deserters, including sponsors, national and local advertisers, per Politico.com. It cites official announcements, Facebook and Twitter statements: AccuQuote Life Insurance, Allstate Insurance, AOL, Bare Escentuals, Bethesda Sedation Dentistry, Bonobos, Capital One, Carbonite, Cascades Dental, Citrix, Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Constant Contact, Cunningham Security, Girl Scouts, Goodwill Industries, Hadeed Carpet, JCPenney, Legal Zoom, Matrix Direct, Netflix, Philadelphia Orchestra, PolyCom, ProFlowers, Quicken Loans, Reputation Rhino, RSVP Discount Beverage, Sears, Sensa, Service Magic, Sleep Train, Sleep Number, St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Tax Resolution, Thompson Creek Windows and Vitacost.

Meanwhile, online dating website SeekingArrangement.com, whose mission is to match subscribers with wealthy “Sugar Daddies,” said Tuesday it intends to gobble up available ad time during Limbaugh’s program."

Commercials to matching chicks with sugar daddies? LOL
Finally, a class of commercial befitting Limbaugh's show!
Gotta love it.

Rush is now saying that the list isn't necessarily so, as some never advertised on his show
and some did only on certain affiliates.

from comments:
-->Remember, as Rush explained this morning, many of these are -local- accounts that run during his show on individual radio stations…not national sponsorships.
These accounts, for the most part, have asked to be moved out of Rush’s time slot…but will run in other day-parts on local stations...Apparently Media Matters is putting out a false list of pulled advertisers. Netflix says they never advertised with so they couldn’t have pulled ads. Same thing for John Deere and Sears.

Basically, they added "do not schedule in controversial programming" clauses. Nothing unusual, I even remember those working for Metro Traffic.

It may not bean intentionally inaccurate list so much as it doesn't delineate the kind of ad-buy represented. According to Media Life Magazine (aimed at media planners), Netflix may not have been completely aware of ads appearing during the show, nationally or regionally/locally. The company has apparently told its media agency[ies] to keep its spots away from Rush programming, however.

Also, Media Life conducted some informal polling on the controversy--most surveyed are supporting the ad-yanking, if not necessarily Rush's comments:
