Who are the best Memphis radio sellers in the past years

Why are/were they so good? Are they still in the business.

The team that we had together at Clear Channel back in 2008 was amazing. That was the year that CCR took fifty cents out of every radio dollar spent in the Memphis market. Sara Scoggins, Kathryn Anne Methenney, Becky Alexander, Freida Johnson, Dan Vaccarro, Doug Johnson, Mike Ware, Jennifer Goyer and a few others made a great team. Sara and Kathryn Anne were standouts, as was Becky. Sadly, Becky now sells Cable, and Sara and KA were canned by current CCR management. There have been other standouts over the years, but many times, top producers are also a manager's nightmare. I also think you'd have to take a good look at the "Blonde Brigade" that sold for KIX back in the mid-90's...thay were an impressive bunch of ladies, too!

Glenna Rogers-Ward has been in the business a LONG time, and was a top seller at WRVR, and I think, still is. A very nice person as well.

Radioguy, do you know what happened to Dan Vaccarro? I worked with him a LONG time ago at WNJC in Senatobia.

As far as I know he's still with CCR in Memphis. He worked for me for 5 years when I was in managemnet there, and was a great seller. Dan's a great guy, and has a wealth of background in this business...sales, PD, management, agency ownership....he's done it all, and still is!
