Who are the new DJS on the Bull? I guess slam got fired to?

Curious if anyone knows about the new DJS on the Bull? Madison sounds like Melissa Miller but I definalty thinking wrong I think?

while I don't like anyone losing their jobs, I think the Bull screwed up on this one. Slam had just moved to afternoon's and was doing one hell of a job. If they wanted to stick a female in on mid-days, why not just get rid of Lance, move Madison in his spot and keep Slam on the PM drive? With the positive changes they've made, this was NOT one of them. Slam will be missed.

I can't believe ClearChannel stuck Madison on yet another station. Seems like she is on just about every CC station in the Southeast. Good grief.

Madison is tracked from WQEN/Birmingham. Ty Bentli is based from WKSC/Chicago.

Piping jocks into a Market #7 radio station doesn't seem like the proper means for making it competitive, but I bet they didn't have much of a budget either. What's more surprising, perhaps, is that these are both jocks from CHRs. You'd think they'd at least try to obtain the services of some in-format employees...but maybe Madison and Ty are comfortable with the Country format too. Guess we're gonna find out!

So now we have VT'ed CHR jocks in midday and evening on The Bull against small market/part-time-quality live jocks in those dayparts on Kicks. I'm not sure which is worse, except do listeners really notice when a jock is voicetracked?

I actually think Madison and Ty sound better than the jocks that The Bull has had up to now. The Bull's imaging is improved, and the pace has picked up to an extent although is still a little too laid back for my liking.

We'll see what The Bull does about mornings.

many successful country stations have a "CHR-like" presentation:
no neeed to 'sound country'...whatever that really is. in fact, it gives the audience a little credit.

Asking if the Bull is ever going away is like asking if CC is ever going away. The answer is...no. Until the market screams loud enough (ie...money, or the lack of it) to force change, you're stuck with this.

I hate to hear Slam is gone,I liked him he was a good jock. I guess he'll go beck to Nasville. I liked Kent Layton too.

Hopefully Slam will land another job in the Atlanta market. There is not another DJ around that will out work him. He is still voice tracking Nashville and Roanoke, but somebody should pick him up in Atlanta. I think the Bull made a big mistake letting him go, but they are trying to save a buck I guess.

Madison, for those who are interested, is Madison Reeves, who is indeed tracking from Birmingham. Her main gig is a short time slot on 103.7 the Q/Birmingham (used to be a longer time slot until they got Seacrest). Besides the Bull/Atlanta, she also tracks for 102.5 the Bull/Birmingham, 107.5 the River/Nashville, and Y100/Miami. And those are just the ones I know of. She does the same 'gossip gab' material on every station and does indeed have a great delivery which has found success with every demo imaginable. I wonder how long it will be before they take her show to an even bigger regional or national level within ClearChannel.

I think the addition of Madison and Ty will prove as good moves for the Bull's on-air lineup, IF CC doesn't pull the plug in the first quarter of '09 ... as for Slam Duncan, why didn't they put him back in the mornings with Kristen? He always seemed to come up with a few funny lines anytime Cledus gave him the chance!

It unbelievable that the bull would let Slam go,he was funny with Cledus and when he moved to afternoons the banter between him and Art "Mad" Man Mearing was awsome. Madison has a great voice and is goregious too. I wish I could be her Santa Clause.

Slam and Art sounded really good in PM drive ... and to Slam's credit, he was smart enough to allow Art to have the punchline at times! I think that show had potential. Slam worked the phones well too --- again, allowing the listeners to have the punchlines!

Slam will not only be missed on the radio, but at the Braves games as well. He lead the pre-game entertainment on the plaza. Very hard working guy.
