Who Can Make Professional Omnia.11 Preset Like KIIS-FM LA - Z100 New York

Hello! I am looking for an engineer/Omnia specialist.11 HD-FM, which can set up a custom preset on a paid basis, sound on both 102.7 KIIS-FM (Los Angeles) and Z100 (New York). We need an aggressive but clean pitch, adaptation to FM and the Internet.

Good afternoon.I will buy a custom preset for an Omnia 11 HD FM audio processor.
Before you start investing in custom presets, you should test out the factory presets and try to find a preset that sounds good. You can always make adjustments and tweaks to make it sound better to your liking.

Good advice. Just duplicating the settings of another station does not take into account the differences in studio-end processing, as well as any "influences" that the STL or even the transmitter / exciter themselves might have on the total sound.

One hint: when making any settings, make sure you have several people listening, with a variety of ages and both male and female ears. I have heard some horrible audio set by guys in their later 50's who had a very different auditory perception than the station's target listeners.

Прежде чем начать инвестировать в пользовательские пресеты, вам следует протестировать заводские пресеты и попытаться найти пресет, который звучит хорошо. Вы всегда можете внести коррективы и настройки, чтобы звук стал лучше по вашему вкусу.

I totally agree with you. I've already started working in this direction and, most likely, I'll have to go deeper into the settings myself. I realized one thing for sure: it's best to tune the sound in a car with good acoustics — only there you can hear all the depth and nuances. When I connect the Omnia 11 directly to Genelec studio monitors or headphones, the sound seems to merge and not so detailed. But in the car, everything immediately became clear and distinct. Now I will adjust it to suit my taste. I notice that the factory presets do not sound very clean and require serious refinement in order to achieve a really high-quality and clean sound with minimal distortion.

I found that the best presets were near the end of their long list.

Wish I had saved the one I used. The format was hot AC and whatever preset I used needed only minimal tweaking. Sadly, many years ago...

I spent an entire day carefully listening to all the presets, testing them thoroughly. To really hear the details, I connected my Omnia 11 HD FM to the AUX input in my car — headphones and studio monitors just didn’t reveal the subtleties well enough. I tried a wide variety of tracks: slow, mid‑tempo, fast, and even some with full drum transitions. After all that, I concluded that the “CG” presets are the best starting point for further tweaking. In particular, I think they could benefit from a few small AGC adjustments — tightening the overall sound and cleaning up the clarity a bit to eliminate any slight “flutter” or looseness.

I'll say it again: if you do subjective listening, you need several people. That means both men and women and older and younger from your target age group. Unless you do adjustment of Omnias and Optimods all day, every day, you may have auditory differences from a portion of your audience that you don't recognize. Final adjustment is a compromise that makes everyone in the target pleased without sounding bad to some.

It is worth actually modulating the Omnia output if you can find a spare FM transmitter. There some tricks that are done in the stereo encoder (assuming you are using the built in encoder - you should be) that will affect your results. Composite clipping is one of them.

Several years ago when I was designing Stereo Tool setups, I had an exciter that allowed me to listen in a few cars and a variety of radios. I don't recall the CG presets for the 11 but I thought there were dozens of presets but most were lacking. However when an 11 is tuned right... schweet!

After many experiments, I came to the conclusion that what I wanted to get from my Omnia 11 processor by listening to some other stations would not work no matter how I set it up.The main problem is that they use, in my opinion, a different processor that sounds radically different and that's what I need.It was decided to purchase a new processor from another company and get what I wanted.Yes, these two top-end processors are each good in their own way.But there are differences that are important to me, namely in the sound quality of the processor output both on the air and on the Internet.
