who got the best hiphopstation in dallas texas

i love k104 one favrite jocks is dj bay bay good music they rep local music.
i dont like the beat the music is stale at times jocks are boring.

youve been all over the place asking this same question.

I think K104 is old. K104 has been #1 in Dallas/Ft. Worth for many years. I like 97.9 The Beat but they have a lot to learn from K104. I like to see CASA 106.7 be a good hip-hop station too.

Dan-The-MAN!!
The North Texas Radio Man!!!

We have no good hip hop stations here anymore, but 97.9 The Beat is soooo disappointing to me. I've said it before and I'll say it again, 97.9 The Beat was an awesome hip hop station when Darrell Johnson was P.D. and George Laughlin was G.M..

Is that Darrel "Moose" Johnson, former Dallas Cowboy great and current Fox Football Commentator ;)

All kidding aside, K-One Oh Fizz Oh is still pretty dang decent as they seem to have a finger on the community pulse.

Until hip hop gets better, there aren't any good hip hop stations in the country.

Yeah that's about right. Plus, it's gotta be voice-tracked on weekdays with lots of spot clutter every hour. :D

Hey some "artists" can rap about how rich, talented, tough, dangerous, and big-dic#$d they are better than others.

Lessee

Rich = Broke
Talented = Couldn't even win a talent show
Tough = Assault & Battery type
Dangerous = Should be in jail
Big-D = Only Howard Stern would care

That's what I love about this board. Stereotypical, yet very ignorant. ::)

Lessee

Rich = Broke=You're jealous
Talented = Couldn't even win a talent show=But has a record deal
Tough = Assault & Battery type=Not afraid to stand up for themselves unlike others
Dangerous = Should be in jail=Label put on them by this dumb-a$$ society
Big-D = Only Howard Stern would care=Don't get mad if some of us are blessed and others are not

Yeah baby!! ;D

If you don't know the format, lifestyle and music of hip hop, then don't comment on it. Unfortunately, what is out there today is trash. If you never have put on a suede Puma with fat laces, then hush ya mouth.

I was actually commenting on just that...the music now is trash. And I used to wear Puma and fat laces, but I grew up. The music got more immature and just downright stupid.
And surely Bucwhyl isn't going to argue that the rap played on the HH stations here don't pretty much stick to the same tired issues and they all say the exact same thing, while each trying to be more vulgar and dirty than the last "hit".

I agree with you and Salem. A majority of today's hip hop is garbage. What I have a problem with is the sterotypical label placed on hip hop. I love hip hop, and although it it has changed alot from when I was a teenager, hip hop will always have a place in my life. I will continue to be offended when people who don't know sh!t about it, and doesn't even listen to it, is critical of it.

Woah! Slow down a bit there. I don't see anyone being critical of hip-hop in this thread.
