I know there's a lot of anti-holiday music people on here, but keep in mind that some people actually do like it, especially this time of the holiday season where it's actually close enough to Christmas. In my area, I can get 4 stations playing all Holiday music, but the selection varies from station to station, as it does with any format. But here's what I have found:
WODS: Very repetitive selection. They seem to play the same song multiple times a day, and seem to only stick to songs that are very well-known. They also don't really play a lot of modern Christmas songs, except for ones that are very well known, such as Mariah.
WROR: Very similar to WODS.
WSRS: Uses Clear Channel's Premium Choice for Christmas music, so they don't have much control. They do have a nice variety of holiday music though, mixing classics and modern.
WWLI: Best holiday music selection yet this season. Plays lots of modern and I've heard some holiday hits this season that I haven't heard in YEARS. I recently heard "Wreck the Malls" by the Bob Rivers Comedy Corp not too long ago, and it was right after the original "Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole, and before "Let it Snow!" by Jimmy Durante, so that was a REALLY weird transition. I'm guessing the programmer wasn't really thinking about that.
