Who has the longest tenure in Atlanta Radio

Given the post below about someone possibly leaving after 17 years at one station, which radio personality in Atlanta has the longest tenure? 17 years is quite a long time in radio. This could be answered in a few categories:

1. At the same station?
2. In the Atlanta market (different stations)?
3. Currently still employeed in Atlanta Radio
4. Retired from radio or no longer with us but had a long tenure.

Some names to consider: Steve McCoy, Vicki Locke, Scott Slade (Etc.) Anyone have the answers or comments?

Kerry Browning at WSB. 30 years and counting.

Hasn't Kirk Mellish been around just as long at WSB? Also, Neal Boortz has been around quite a while (late 60s?), but of course, not all of those years at WSB.

Ike Newkirk has been around many years, too. When I was listening to him during my time in Atlanta (2001-2002), he mentioned many times about doing the Sunday morning show on 790 for over 30 years.

While you can't really call him an Atlanta radio personality, I'll give an honorable mention to Larry Munson since many people nationwide have listened to Georgia football via WSB over the years.

I think Ike has the current record at WQXI.

Anybody here remember Deborah Richards, News Director/Public Affairs Director at KICKS 101.5? She was at that station for over 18 years, in the market for about 24 years. She left KICKS in 2002 at the top of her game, having earned the Academy of Country Music Award with Moby and Jim Vann as Best Morning Show in 1998, I think. Tremendous talent...still using those legendary pipes as a national voiceover talent.

Kerry is at or near the very top of that list. Kirk Mellish arrived in the 80's, after Browning had been on board a good while. Tom Hughes also has an extremely long tenure at WGST, although he was canned during the Planet Radio fiasco. Ludlow Porch has been around forever, although not at the same station and presently relegated to small markets. Doug Nodine has been with WGST, Georgia News Network about a quarter century. There's got to be more...

Don't forget Kelly McCoy, WSB-FM, has been at the station over 20 years in the same daypart.

Someone below mentioned Ike Newkirk--when I got to QXI back in 1980, I think Ike had already been there something like 10 years. My weekend shift was (often) Sunday morning on the FM side--94Q--and the studios were right next to each other. We had some laughs...Ike's the greatest.

Also at QXI, and even though he isn't an on-air personality, GM Mark Kanov has been there since (I think the year is close here--Mark? Sorry if I'm off here...) 1967 or 1968?

According to his personal webpage, "He has been at Eagle 106.7 since February 1985. "

So 21 years at WYAY.

In the vein of 105.3 The Buzz; Leslie Fram began at 99X then Big Band 99 in 1927. She was one of the first jocks to play "race records" on her Leslie's Lounge show back in the late-40's. Man that Leslie was always breaking ground. Jimmy Baron used to listen to the Leslie's Neil Diamond Hour when the station was Lite Rock 99 on his transistor radio in Skokie, IL circa 1972. In fact the first time I met Jimmy at Sam and Hy's on Dempster he said that he wanted to work with Leslie when he grew up.<P ID="signature">______________
