Who is good NOW, in 2023? Morning shows and otherwise in the PNW

Hi guys. I see a lot of "back in the day" nostalgia. I wonder who is putting together good radio in Seattle in 2023? We can throw Portland and other PNW markets in as well. What shows are based locally? There's obviously Brook and Jeffrey, Jubal, former 98.9 show Bobby Bones, etc, But who is in a studio, doing a great show for their local community? Does this still happen?

And what are the morning ratings like in Seattle and Portland? Would love to know who is making a dent!

Bender and Jody seem to do well though I haven't heard them, and KISW and KZOK have morning shows that do well. I recorded the morning show on Star last time I was in the market, but haven't listened to it yet to determine whether it's any good.
It seems KKCW is still doing well in mornings, but I'm not familiar enough with morning ratings in Portland to know which shows do well and which ones don't. I can say that personally, I only listened to KKCW and KXL in mornings last time I spent any significant amount of time down here, and I'm now bored by the K103 morning show. It's not the same since Bruce, John, and Janine broke up. Mike and Stacey aren't nearly as interactive.

KISW still has a live morning and afternoon drive show that is fully in-house and not pre-recorded/stitched together.

I've become a huge fan of KPNW in short order. Great mix of music styles. I like that they play a combination of both old well-known songs and good new stuff. I get bored with stations that are either all classic or all recent.

Middays feature John Fisher live and afternoons are live with Marco Collins. All presented with a very northwest focus. Great job.

100% agree. They may not be seeing results yet, but I think they are putting together something pretty great. I too think that 98.9 is a fantastic mix of music with great presentation.

Another show worthy of mention is Danny Bonnaduce and Sarah. Always enjoyed tuning in from time to time, particularly to the "life coach" segment.

A little out of town, but KXXO Mixx 96.1 in Olympia still does a great job of serving the local community. Good mix of music and frequent announcements for local events and festivals.
