He's funny, painfully honest, quick, smart and most important of all.....Entertaining!

Why would CBS put their cards on the table and give others time to evolve....

That's not a worry in today's radio business when local "program directors" have no say-so over formats and the corporate execs who do would need a long time to even be convinced of the need for a format change, to say nothing of actually doing one.

Chris Booker. He's also already In-House with CBS at K-Rock in NYC.

As long as they don't allow him to bring his gal pal Lynda Lopez on board (i.e. the morning team on the now-defuct New York radio abomination "Blink 102.7") then I'm all for it!

In fairness to Booker, he did pull in good numbers on CHR Q102 in Philly before Clear Channel unceremoniously dumped him. Moving Booker to mornings in L.A. would likely mean one more domino falling on K-Rock in New York flipping to...

CBS could hire Shelley Wade, recently bounced from middays to overnights on Z100 to make room for Seacrest as the stations midday talent. That is, if she wanted to make the move to the west coast.

OK...either you ARE Shelley Wade or you have no idea what a morning show is. It ain't talkin up 13 songs an hour. Is she the only DJ you know of in the country? How the hell do you pull THAT name out of your hat? I would think syndicating The Elvis Duran Show from Z100 would be a better idea if you are looking to pick from a major market....or another big CHR show that could leave or syndicate in.

I can't imagine the "younger listeners" mentioned in Amp's press release relating to Bonaduce or Booker. Their AM drive host will be critical to Amp's success IMO.

Or Lander.....seriously....put some real thought into this. This is 2009 not 1989
