Each year, the guessing game begins right about now about who will switch to Christmas music first, FM 100 or KOSY 106.5.
Or maybe a spoiler that none of us would think might switch. If there are stations thinking of a change in format come the new year, we all might be surprised as Christmas music is often used as filler until a new format debuts.
Your thoughts? I remember KOSY flipped on Halloween a few years back. When I worked weekends there, we usually flipped around November 5.
The first station to my knowledge this year that brought on Christmas music was KYXE FM 104.9 in Yakima. The station just signed on earlier this month, so it's new format will wait until after Christmas, but Central Washington gets its Noel tunes for 11-12 weeks continuously.
