Who's translater of is for sale in NJ??

I believe that's the translator at 96.7 in Wanamassa NJ that currently carries wqxr from NY.
I think a person by the name of Wesley Wise owns it and I heard it's been for sale for some time.

W244AS is the is id and the erp is 8 watts.

Re: Who's translator is for sale in NJ??

Well for that much money only 8 watts...... Not to many translators for sale at all in NJ.......

$500K translator with an 8 watt coverage which WKLV bleeds through in it's contour. Price should be adjusted with that issue.

It's W244AS, 96.7, licensed to Oakhurst, owned by Wesley R. Weis ..
The translator went on the air in 1988, originally translating WHTZ, "Z-100", from Newark ..
Then for a time, it had the old WRDR from Egg Harbor City on it, and WOBM from Toms River ..
I can actually pick up 96.7 (weakly) here in Toms River ..

That sale seemed to appear when DHoom was looking for a signal. They paid an outrageous amount for the Hazlet repeater. I was under it last week.

W244AS had a great signal through central NJ until WKLV-FM went on the air in New York. In fact, I often wondered if they were operating at licensed power because seemed much too good for only 8 watts.

It is in a pretty good spot on a hill surrounded by flat terrain. I have often questioned the power question also.
