WHOT 97FM BOSTON ~ Does that mean the RUSS PARR Morning Show is Back?

The Russ Parr Morning Show was been taken off the airwaves of the former "WILD Hot 97.7FM" in Boston of 2004; then sold to WAAF, owning two radio station dials of Rock music.

Question: Will they be a four way competition between "Jamn' 945 FM; WILD 1090AM (Tom Joyner Morning Show); LP-WTCH-FM (Touch 106.1FM); and now the return of the all new Hot 97.1 FM, possibly featuring "The Russ Parr Morning Show?"

Question #2: Will the Black Community of "Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan" welcome the return of Russ Parr and the Crew (if occurred), since some of us still listen to Russ Parr via internet and refuse to let him go, after the #1 syndicated Hip-Hop Show (Through Radio One Media) was removed off the Boston airwaves?

If so, who would you stay with or go back to?

(A.) Ramiro & Pebbles - WJMN 94.5 FM
(B.) Tom Joyner - WILD 1090 AM
(C.) Charles Clemoms - WTCH 106.1 FM
(D.) Russ Parr(???) - WHOT 97.1 FM

Don'tl ook for Russ Parr to be on a pirate station, let alone one trying to be on adjacent channel to a licensed full-power FM.

Talk about stupidity. Putting a pirate on a first adjacent channel? Stupidity indeed. You can bet Greater Media will make sure that the FCC will shut it down. Folks, "Hot 97.7" is gone, finis, adios. Deal with it. If you really want to get a station like WILD-FM, save all of your dough and buy 1090. If you program it right, you'll make a bundle. Otherwise, c'est le vie.

(A.) Ramiro & Pebbles - WJMN 94.5 FM( Great local morning show. Clear Channel Please dont F### this up, by puttin' on a National moring show )
(B.) Tom Joyner - WILD 1090 AM ( Radio One Please just go away. Lower the sale tag so a local Ownership can buy this signal )
(C.) Charles Clemoms - WTCH 106.1 FM ( I can't see Russ Parr on a Pirate station and this pirate is a Urban A/C Pirate )
(D.) Russ Parr(???) - WHOT 97.1 FM( Russ Parr No ! Pirate station . I cant see this station last long because its next to that "garbage anger Talk station ")

Peter Q George sounds exact on this. As much as I would like to see HOT 97 return. This time, I have to agree with Peter Q George
They should of brought 95.9. Just a thought, no make big things of this please.

Thank you

Do you mean they should *have* bought 95.9 - WATD in Marshfield?

I must disagree with that. WATD is a rare, independently owned, fully live and locally programmed commercial station which does an excellent job of community service to the South Shore, and provides unique programming to the area, as well as to parts of greater Boston that can receive it. (I believe it also provides the Talking Information Channel for the blind on an SCA subcarrier).

If I ever heard any pirate station appear on 95.9, I'd be the first to call the FCC.

Yeah, I bet one person will enjoy listening to Russ Parr on 97.1, the rest of us will hear the IBUZ from WTKK
