WHRV-FM Public Radio, covering Eastern NC and Southside VA on 88.1

Monday evening, I was scanning the FM band in my vehicle. The scan locks on 88.1 FM. I later found that WHRV/Norfolk, VA has just (in the past few days) signed on it's 30,000 watt repeater, WHRL-FM. The signal was of city grade quality about 10 miles south of Roanoke Rapids. Their COL is Emporia, VA. I am glad to have their NPR News/Talk format on a 'local' station here! WHRV is a great public radio station.
