Why All News 106.7 Has Many Ways to Promote the NEW station.....

Let's look at their opportunities:
Fox 5 News
Journey, Kicks, 99x, Rock 100.5, q100, and 680 The Fan
Georgia Tech Football/B-Ball Games
Billboards

Seems like they have all areas covered with possible cross-promotion. They are producing commercials................

As "ALL NEWS 106- soon to be on 106.5fm. Atlanta's 24 Hour News Center with RightNow Traffic and Fox 5 Weather on the 6s".

I can understand the reason to advertise, but:

You are going to have to "rebrand" and spend money to let your listeners find you again. How much do you promote a station that is going any?
Why not talk to the folks down the hall and do a "reverse Q100"--that is, when Q100 moved they went from "Q100.5" to "Q100". Why not do an "All News 106" to eventually change to "All News 106.5"?

I don't remember Q100 ever being called Q100.5.

MARTA buses will not be enough. With the signal that AN106.7 has, they definitely will need the burbs. I agree that they need a strong social media presence that we have not yet seen. Also, there is no local news or traffic on their website. With everything they are doing right, they are missing the boat with their web presence.

Also, the extra channel that tweets traffic updates/problems is a great idea.... I am not going to look back and see who mentioned it, but whomever you are: good job!
