Why Did KNBC Move Sun AM Local News To Air Only On Digital 4.2?

Just curious, but I noticed that Ch 4 is now airing their Sunday morning 7am news exclusively on digital 4.2. Is it a test to see if they can drive viewers there? Anyone know why?
 
I can't answer the "why" but Ted Chen has been talking about it on the 7 AM and 6 PM Saturday (which was back to a full hour at 6 tonight. No "Malibu Polaties" infomercial during the second half hour).

He said it's a new show called "Sunday Morning" and will be more informal. No coats or ties...more relaxed. I'm not going to guess why they are doing it but I think it's dumb when KABC runs up to 4 hours of local news on Sunday morning.

Since my initial post, I haven't seen the show, but I did see more talk and promotion for it and my guess is that it is not a "live" show, but rather something preproduced and significantly cheaper than a live newscast. If anyone has any info for certain whether it's live or not, I'm curious.

My guess is you have more than one moron at KNBC making stupid decisions; perhaps they are unaware of Dish or DirecTv; which only carry the main feed. NBC, has become an embarrassment; Who would every guess a market the size of Los Angeles, would put out such garbage!

Beware of Dish!
