I don't have access to the Hot 100 book, but yes it charted, maybe #86.
There is another version by Rose Colored Glass which peaked #54 in 1971---yes a nice tune.
Maybe the lack of fame for both bands had a hand in it. <shrug>
BTW the exact title is "Can't Find the Time" if you wanna check YouTube/Google. Also I believe the year was 1971 for both....not 100% sure on that....but it certainly would fit in with a 50s/60s format.

"Can't Find The Time" by Orpheus peaked at #80 on Billboard in the Summer of '69.
It actually was released in Spring '68 and climbed into the top 20 on several radio stations. The national charts don't always tell the full story.

I'm taking it this was a regional hit in the east? Don't remember hearing it in the midwest until I heard it on an oldies show

I never heard it in the midwest either. I had to find it on You Tube and that was the first time I ever heard it. Good song!

Or, someone in the advertising realm could use it in a new commercial (a trend now in TV ads), and get folk to talk about it, then have it available to download, getting it on the Billboard charts,....etc.

It did well in southern california. We added it to our "ez' formatted station KWXY in Palm Springs recently after out pd remembered it being played in Boston when it was out and I recalled playing it in the Riverside-San Bernardino market at the time.

Yes, a great song. I have it taped here in Cincinnati from 1972, but it could have charted earlier here. Didn't hear it for many years and then heard it the first day I subscribed to XM in 2008. Of course, with their reduced playlist I had not heard it for many months prior to me cancelling XM.

First I ever heard it was when I found it on a radio station compilation album from an eastern station (WIBG or WFIL possibly). I heard it once when WKRC played music.

I have a theory that at that time there was so much good, new music that most songs jumped onto the charts and were pushed off just as fast by new music being released.
One of my all-time favorites, "Everything is Tuesday" by Chairmen of the Board hit the charts for a couple of weeks during the summer of 1971...and was gone.
We must have lost some really great tunes that way..."I Can't Find the Time to Tell You" is one of them.

Even the follow up 45 by Orpheus was great and much more difficult to hear on radio, except for maybe my show! But then again I always turn the charts upside down when I program...LOL.
