Why not let ABS-CBN Philippines buy the KSTS 48 signal? Or KRON4 signal.

In a place like the Bay Area where more people watch foreign tv shows from China, Mexico or the Philippines. Why not let foreign Tv Networks like ABS-CBN buy either KRON4 or KSTS 48 here in the Bay Area if the FCC allows this.

The FCC doesn't not allow foreign controlling interest in broadcast licenses. They could LMA a station or partially own one.
 
If that's the case, how come Sing-Tao Daily can own air time on KSQQ-FM in San Francisco? Sing-Tao Daily's headquarter is in Hong Kong as far as I understand...... is that the "They could LMA a station or partially own one" you are talking about?

Can World Journal try to buy KRON4 or KSTS 48? That was what SF Chronicle did before Young, right?

Yes...They lease air time.
 
Young Broadcasting must Contact ABS-CBN to get a contract to be the first Local US Tv station to become a full time Affiliate with ABS-CBN. And the first tv station to air 24-hours of Tagalog Shows. This will get more viewers to KRON 4 than My network TV.

I think ABS-CBN already has TFC, which is a paid cable channel so I dunno if they would broadcast for free 24 hours a day
