There's no law against being "deceitful, despicable, unethical". If there was a law against that, then there would be no politicians, radio station managers, record label executives, or talent agents.

Actually there kinda is. Well, there is the "honest services" law that's under a lot of legal fire at the moment, and not without good reason...although the original intent behind it was not without merit, either.

According to the New York Times, "The (Supreme Court) justices were unanimous in calling a broad interpretation of the law, which makes it a crime 'to deprive another of the intangible right of honest services,' unconstitutionally vague."
