WIIN 780AM, with new FM translator W272DF flip format to "102.1 The Box" Jackson

We have more radio news in Jackson.

New South Radio moved blues to WHJT-HD2 recently. In its place is 102.1 The Box, running on WIIN 780 and its FM translator W272DF.

The station is launching with 10,000 songs commercial free. Market Manager Bob Lawrence writes, “Central Mississippi has been in dire need of a Classic R&B ‘party’ station. “We will be playing everything from Motown right up through the 90s; the core of which is 80s. You’ll hear Classics from the Temps, Emotions, Janet Jackson, SNAP, Naughty By Nature, and so much more!”
 
GM Bob Lawrence says they have the website domain registered. They don't have the website or the stream up YET.

I wasn't given an ETA, but I suspect it will be up in the near future, since they already have a streaming website, blues931.com, up and running.
