WILD'S MARC COLEMAN IS BACK WITH THE 'ORIGINAL' TIME TUNNEL ON HOT 97

DJ Marc Coleman return's to host 'THE ORIGINAL' Inside The Time Tunnel, Saturday, August 27th @ 8:00am to 12 Noon. It's obviously, people in Boston are not feeling Skippy White's version of InsideThe Time Tunnel on Touch 106.1 FM. People complaining that Skippy is playing too much Rock & Soul from African-American artist during the 50's and 60's compare to Marc Coleman from the 'ORIGINAL' Time Tunnel who played strictly Classic Soul and R&B. Now Marc is about to bring that flavor back to Hot 97 Boston who is no stranger when The Time Tunnel moved to Radio-One's Hot 97 under WILD-FM.So, If you're an old skool freak and you love Classic Soul and R&B, who do you prefer? Skippy White's Version or Marc Coleman's Version. ???MAKE A CHOICE!! http://hot97boston.com/

Marc Coleman is THE BEST!!
But in my opinion, he deserves much better, such as Magic 106.7, or Mix 104.1. On a regular radio, you can't get 87.7 outside (Roxbury, Mattapan, Dorchester, and SouthEnd) It might come in stacky in the NorthEnd, and parts of East Boston. Other than that, when you listen from a regular radio living outside the city, you can not get that station, as well as Big City 101.3, and all those Pirate Stations.
You can only get those stations in Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, and SouthEnd areas of Boston. If you don't live in those areas, and if you don't have computer accesss, you can not pick up those stations.
Marc had some listenners in Medford, Lynn, and three guys used to call every weekend working at Comcast in like Tewksbury?, this is when he was on 1090AM, as well as on 97.7
I'm glad he got this gig, but he deserve a much better (PAID) gig such as Magic 106.7, or Mix 104.1. He's the best radio host, also very nice and kind in person

it doesn't matter what format, he deserves better, like for him, he'd be good for as I said, Magic 106.7, Mix 104.1, 105.7 WROR, and Country 102.5. He'd be great for any.
Instead of hiring Mike Mcgowan for Mix 104.1 (it's too late now, he's already there) give guys like Marc Coleman, Steve Gousby, T Clark a chance. They're all great and very nice in person as well. But Marc is the best. He would give his left shoe to anyone if needed, and he did something very nice for one listenner for Christmas. He told her, after his show, he was going to personnally fill his car up with gifts and personnally drop it off to her. I thought that was one of the nicest things he's ever done.
Yeah, you may be able to get some of those pirate stations driving around, but it does not come in at all outside of (Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, and Southend) those are the basic areas that you can hear those Pirate stations (Touch 106.1, Big City 101.3, Hot 87.7)
It's sad
Another one Mix 104.1 disregarded, Lady D
so sad

building cabinetry at the BC Campus School I had a little radio in the window and got them all in Chestnut Hill. also they make it to canton/dedham/needham/norwood/stoughton and on highway down to about Foxboro/Gillette (the altitude is like 300 feet on topo maps). there are some hills around 5-600 feet around here. at the Packards Corner stop my lowly phone could recieve all the stations in Allston at ground level. in Chinatown there is good coverage as well, thanks to building attenuation of Pru signals.

i'd imagine they get out over the bay pretty well, but i lack a boat to test this theory

Hot97's biggest problem is being on 87.75 so theyre doing digital radios a disservice by not allowing them to zero-in properly

I never been to those areas you mentioned Needham, Dedham, Foxboro.
I work in Allston, not far from Packards Corner on the weekend, I can not these stations from Comply-Packards Corner (93.7, 94.5, 97.7, 98.5, 101.7, and 103.3) Those are the major stations I can not get inside Boston, on ANY Walkamn, NEW and OLD, HD and NOT HD. I also can not get all those pirate stations anywhere in Allston, I do get 87.7, but very staticy around Brighton Center. That's the only one that I get.
When I leave my work in Dorchester (Ashmont to JFK) I can get 87.7 and 101.3. Touch 106.1 comes in, ok in Ashmont area, but the I lose the signal after Fields Corner. I can get, from Ashmont to Just past Fields Corner (93.7, 94.5, 97.7, 98.5, 101.7, and 103.3) I get all those until just after Fields Corner. 93.7 fades in and out until I get to JFK. After JFK, I lose them all, as well as all those pirate stations.
Same in Brookline, Ma area, most of all of Brookline, Ma area I can not get all those stations. ON ANY WALKMAN, NEW, OLD, HD, NOT HD, MP3 Players, NEW PHONE/FM RADIO on the PHONE.

Maybe driving in a car with a good antanna you might be able to get those stations well, maybe if you live in those areas or work in those areas, you might be able to get those stations.

Once you get out of the city, you can get most of those major stations that I mentioned. Driving around (Revere area, I did pick up 101.3-DRIVING AROUND with a good car radio antanna) It did have static, but still listenable until I got to Salem, Ma and starting losing the signal. But on a regular radio, or walkman, I can not hear that station at all in that area as well as 87.7.
