Sinclair has mentioned that prior to being the GM of WPDE and WWMB, Ballard had 27 years experience in broadcasting management.

Ballard has more than 27 years’ experience in broadcast television, most recently as a founder-owner of a start-up company. Prior to that, he was president and general manager of WIAT Birmingham, Ala., and has been a general manager at stations in various cities since 1994, including Miami, Philadelphia and Raleigh, N.C., as well as serving as a broadcasting consultant.

Prior to that, he held various sales roles since 1986.
