Swiss, did Lisa look good, i know she had a good looking voice. LOL
As I recall, 27 years later, she looked good. Long dark hair, unless I met another one of the female jocks at 106. I really only remember one female jock, wait, there was another that worked the weekends. Anyway, the lady I met looked good lol
You may be thinking of Jessie Lang. She worked at KDF also. I thought that Lisa was better looking than Jessie. I was there for a short time as an intern during the Rock 106/15 WLAC-Top 40 days, just before the big format changes.
I was listening to The Rock this morning, and how whimpie John Boy and Billy sounds compaired to how Rock 106 was. When Clear Channel brought back the AOR format to 106, it kicked butt. Now, it sounds to me like a dried up old Classic (Top 40) Rock station. Rock 106 (WKQB) played the deep cuts from artist that normal AOR's wouldn't play. I hope somebody at CC is listening to us! Bring back the "CRANK IT UP" playlist.
Joe Elvis is a good jock, but the playlist of songs they force him to play is too much like Top 40, Bubble Gum, Rock. Gee Nahshville Radio Consultants, how many more times do we have to hear "Sweet Home Alabama" or "You shook me all night long"?
Another good example of a good AOR from the day was 98 "The Loop" WLUP-FM in Chicago.
When your in the mood for good AOR, you should hear Judas Priest, Iron Maden, Metal Church, Megadeath, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, etc.
Gee you guys have got old Scott really started, I miss the good ole "REAL" AOR days!
Oh, Deltas69 knows more than where Nash Radio is, I think he invented the site, is that right Pat? Hey Pat remembers how hard Rock 106 kicked!
