WiMax the best way for broadcasters to get their (HD) programming into cars?

The reason you're not hearing the 'huge public outrage' about night time HD-AM radio is that some good owners DID listen, and WSB, WJR and WABC are not fighting each other every night with the digital buzzsaws on AM, as they shutdown when the sun goes down;
however,
WLW and WOR haven't figured that out yet, and WFAN is still p*ssing on WSM.

I'm curious to see if they will try something different at night for HD-AM?

I think satellite radio has a lot more to fear from Wi-Fi than does traditional terrestrial radio.

I think AM,Fm,Xm and Sirius will be DEAD as a doornail ,the second they roll out WIMAX ,why? Cause then you can use rhapsody in the car,and other music services that let you pull up any song.This will also kill any other IP service because its transportable.Who needs a cellphone even then? I can run SKYPE and talk to anyone whos not sitting in the dark with no computer.Buy stock?;)

And right now, for way less than your cell phone charges, (pennies) you can use Skype to call anyone, anywhere in the world on their regular telephone. It works.

The times are a changing.
