Iheart Sports/talk outlet gets a rebrand and a lineup change.


New Programming Lineup:

  • 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe with Arrington, Quinn & Knox 6 - 9 a.m. ET
  • The Dan Patrick Show 9 -12 p.m. ET
  • The Herd with Colin Cowherd 12- 3 p.m. ET
  • The Doug Gottlieb Show 3 - 6 p.m. ET
  • Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell 6 - 7 p.m. ET
  • The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker 7- 10 p.m. ET
  • The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon 10 p.m. - 2 a.m. ET
  • The Ben Maller Show
 
Meh. I still recall when 940 stopped carrying Air America Radio back in early 2009, flipped to sports and began carrying most all the ESPN shows and programming back then. 940 WINZ was something like the 6th sports station in that market and though they did have the ESPN lineup, many questioned the need for yet another sports station in a market that supports basketball for the most part (Miami Heat), but where the attendance for Marlins baseball games is reliably abysmal (unless there's a strong visiting team that maybe pulls a crowd), and even most Miami Dolphins games have a fair amount of empty seats.

Another Miami area sports station, 790 The Ticket was also simulcast on 104.3 for a few years, until the later became 104.3 The Shark in mid-2015. I realize 104.3 switched to The Shark as part of a change in ownership, but at the same time, I'm not sure how well 104.3 did in the ratings when simulcasting 790 or how well they did financially.
