I would be calling whomever is Wired's web guy and get him to eliminate that page fast before a certain Inquirer radio beat writer that READS THIS PAGE reports it...cause that is SHOCKINGLY FUNNY and IRONIC that Chio's own station is caught hating on him, and it is documented.

That's why I used Tom Joyner as an example. Radio One threw a lot of cash around to market Tom Joyner AND he had MORE equity than your boy Chio...and that station is in the toilet. It's a team effort, all day parts must be strong in order for the station to be strong, and Wired is terrible."

I must add one point - not only are they terrible on air, but it seems that they have a couple...um...gaps...behind the scene as well.

it's like the rocket leaving the Red Sox and ending up on the yankees....thats how radio is hate him or love either way chio wins ...he is evoking emotion and thats what matters....no rush to get it removed i will wait till monday because I find it funny...... CHICO......

q102-17 year heritage station
wired- 2 years old

18-34 persons last book .....they were tied
tied???? but they are having all these problems...there jocks are horrible so you say.....they are only 2 years old.....and NO PD FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS but they tied ...hmmmmm lets be objective here look over the facts Chio has been in Philly a total of 9 years doing nights afternoons and 6 years doing mornings...I can give you at least 10 examples of a morning show saving a station by the way.... your just plain off on that point.... i will explain your tom joyner point...first off it has only been one book hard to say radio one has failed ....107.9 is a very weak signal too but lets get further into it Tom Joyner and Steve Harvey are huge NATIONAL names and they are going up against each other ...you cant compare them to Chio's situation...Chio is a huge PHILLY name the number one morning show for woman 18-34 Wired the baby station it is in the past few books has been neck and neck with Q102 in all day parts except morning drive where Chio was killing them....so lets think if you take the main reason for q winning mornings away and add it to there direct competitor you have a huge swing in numbers ... Wired is tied without chio so the simple assumption to make is that with the added numbers from morning drive that wired will beat Q in the ratings.... in the past year wired has hired a new GM new PD New Promotions staff and a few new sales people as well and it is showing up in the ratings now with chio making the switch there is bound to be some Q clients...if your following the facts here wired seems to be making all the right moves here and Q is falling behind all those "gaps" you talk about seemed to getting filled...

with all that said why would wired flip formats they seem to be taking it to the 17 year vets with as you said " a terrible station" just imagine whats going to happen with a proven ratings grabber and there first real morning show leading the way .... all i can say is WOW>>>>

ok lets put your money where your mouth is Chio and I will meet up with you and we can have a lawyer or whatever there with a legal contract stating that if wired is gone after one year you will win if not you lose...since your still hiding behind your "screen name" im not sure how much you can bet a hundred, a thousand, a hundred thousand, whatever you can afford if you want to contact me directly i will leave all my info at the bottom of this post.

Next question Justice - Why is it that Q102 went UP in rank (other day parts) once Chio in the Morning went off the air each day, Justice? It's like the MORNING SHOW was bringing the station DOWN?!!! That's odd, you would think with such a powerful morning show as Chio in the Morning, people would turn him on and leave the station on all day...but actually, listeners would listen to something else AND THEN put Q102 on after the morning show was done. Ouch.


first off rating have not come out since chio left...hell trends have not even come out yet....and since when do we get "Daily" ratings????

i agree with alot of what you wrote but MOST people who fill out diaries do know exactly what they are listening too and will get it right and just in case you didnt know the PPM will be coming in Jan 07 it will change how radio is marketed and how accurate the diary keepers where..

Preston and steve do a really good show can't argue with that and they are going to get huge ratings now that stern is gone and roth is sucking so bad..but they have nothing to do with Chio they target men Chio targets woman....according to the ratings wired is gaining listeners not losing them as you say....... if "new" equals "more better" then why is roth doing so bad ,, why have all wireds morning shows done so bad??? most morning show listeners are very loyal or habitual with there morning routine...... and your Chio ain't new to no one is proof that you know that everybody in Philly knows Chio which makes it a strong brand ...thanks for solving that issue...

Last point Wexy Why was Chio brought in at Q102??? because the morning show was 3 to 3.5 full shares below the rest of the station....Chio has outperformed the rest of the station many times when he was doing "his" show. So if Q made Chio why couldn't Q have made Glen K ..... the station never makes the morning show...if Chio was so bad why did Q call him to come back ...why have they hired a new PD and GM could it be that they lost there greatest asset and have paid with there jobs??? I really dont know and there is no way to really find out just my opinion... ok Wex have to head back to NY for a few days

You know what's so funny about all of this - YOU ARE DEFENDING WIRED!!! If the Justice of a year ago could see you doing this he would have punched the current-you in the mouth...so now you believe Wired is a viable product cause you need a gig, but when you were with Q I am sure you have been quoted as saying "Wired is dawg sh*t"...which I would agree with that Justice, not the guy begging for a new gig.

Did I write that Chio wasn't good at one time? He ran his course, he was successful, but his day is over. Chio no longer identifies with the demo. Do you think a 12-17 year old cares if Chio wants to be a good husband? No, they want to hear about farts and silly jokes. The Wild bunch actually was doing well before they got cut.

And you are going to tell me that Clear Channel Philadelphia, with 6 stations including one of the top 25-54 stations EVER in WDAS, "fired" a GM and a PD because of Chio?!!! You are serious, right? Cause if you are, you and I are not arguing on a level playing field. That line of thinking is just too funny!

Wow. I really have touched a nerve. If you were so damned confident you would have blown off ANY remarks made about your boy or the station...blatant signs of uncertainty and insecurity. No problem, at least I know the type of person I am dealing with.

How about this - just like I have "wagered" here with SCRhack about Howard Stern's last day: If Chio is #1 18-34 at any time (book) within a year I will come on here and announce that I was wrong...and you will do the same. Sort of a gentleman's agreement...cause there really is no upside for me to contact you.


Best of luck...the first thing I would do if I were you would be to get rid of that page on Wired965.com that you either do or do not acknowledge - still don't know if you do or don't acknowledge it, but if it was me that site would be "closed for maintainence"...but maybe that's why I am not getting anyone coffee each morning - that is what a morning show producer does, right? A step above intern and a step below over night jock.
