97.3 KJ.....keep up your style like the mainstream country approach

100.3 ...havent heard much of it...sounds alot like KJ...maybe they should play alot more TEXAS country or have a show dedicated to it. pat green, randy rogers, jack ingram, aaron watson, robert earl keene, travis mitchelle band ECT.....

96.1 MIX......now your on the right track since z is gone the top 40 format is good because there is only one of you in the CITY....

92.5.......they should stregnthen the signal to this station and make it a DANCE, tecno, trance ect type station ....i dunno how the OUTLAW is doing but if it ever needs to change stregnthen the signal and make it a station we dont have in SAN ANTONIO

I DUNNO maybe im out of my mind but this would be nice if all the main stations like these in town were exactly like this....but i guess this is only in a perfect world

Keep my favorite FM at 102.7 out of your book, please. :D

Here are my fixes for AM.

If it were left up to me, I'd turn WOAI into a 24-hour news wheel, covering San Antonio mayhem like a blanket and utilizing the resources of WOAI-TV by re-purposing their news stories into radio content.

I'd move all of the syndicated talkers on OAI over to 760.

Then I'd pry KSLR away from Salem and give it to CC, to provide a new home for the sports-talk that will need a place to roost after Rush and Hannity take over 760.

KAHL 1310 could pick the carcass of KSLR and snatch up as many talkers as they might care to grab, just so they won't have to play that Big Band music for 12 hours a day.

I'd shuffle the deck ever so slightly at KTSA, shortening Dave Ramsey by an hour and giving that hour to Brad Messer. Then I'd run a repeat of Ramsey at 10 PM.

In the spirit of the above nonsense, here are my suggestions:
550- Make it top-40, full service, with the best personalities available
630- Block programming in the morning, hard rock afternoons, country at night
680- Full service, with country music, strong news commitment
860- Oldies is just about right
930- Pave the transmitter site and put up big box retail
1200- easy listening

96.1- Classical
KISS- Full bore heavy metal, without let-up
KZEP- Move the studios down the street to the Mengar, with an eclectic format
KAJA- Easy Listening
Y-100- Bubblegum top 40
101.9- Elevator music for doctor offices
102.7- Automated top 40
105- Local programming for Seguin
107- Country music (in spanish with english anouncers)

And someone should put KEDA on a full-power FM, to let south Texas indigenous music fill the airwaves.

[note to flamers: I'm just kidding!]

hey this guy has some good suggestions for SA radio. Since he comes from a city with decent stations, I think he knows what he's talking about. No wonder this city is so backwards. And I'm a freakin' native! I must have been spoiled with numerous trips to Chicago and Houston.
We need stations we DON'T have in san antonio. We do have a potential for a softer music station than "Soft Rock" such as smooth jazz because of the large older population in this city. Classic country on FM would also work for the older crowd (and old at heart). We can hold a full time alternative station for the young to middle aged cagetory. We have enough classic rock here with Jack, KZEP and KMFR. That's THREE predominantly classic rock stations! I see and hear more and more people in this city turning to IR and satellite becasue of the poor stations here. Even the lower class people are dishing out the money for SR, it's cheaper than cable and cell phones....My suggestion to you, DtwnBOiLivinINSA, for now is to get satellite to get the music YOU want. Because, like the Bush Administration, SA radio overlooks the "minorities" in San Antonio, but in this case they are caucasion, black and asian. I still can't believe how they treat the black community by putting urban ac on AM. COME ON!

If HD radio will ever take off, I think it will fill in a big gap.
