I'm not sure when (or if) this will ever happen. KOLE doesn't cover Beaumont well at night, so until they come up with a plan to cover the Golden Triangle better, I think KRCM will stay in Beaumont.

Aren't they 1kW unlimited? What station is coming in better at night?

KOLE's transmitter is in Port Arthur....with all the backyard channels upping to 1 KW full time from 1K day/250w night, the noise level has risen where it hurt everyone....what a mess...
add to the fact that KOLE changed their 3/8wave series fed tower to a grounded monopole 1/4wave (that radiates worse than the 3/8 wave), their night signal in Beaumont has sucked for some time. KRCM at their low night power covers better than 1340 but then the co channel is farther away and the noise level on channel is MUCH lower.
In fact NONE of the AM cover the area worth a damn except 560....
990 sucks bigtime (1380 covers farther at 91 watts night power than 990 does at 1KW).
